JEE Main 2021- Gateway to the Tech Education


JEE Main exam is very important for students who dream to pursue their engineering studies in IITs and other premier institutes in India. This exam is conducted by the national testing agency.

Around 9-10 lakh students appear for this exam. So the competition is very high for this exam.

The national testing agency is conducting the JEE main exam in 4 sessions in 2021. Those who are preparing for this exam can easily score higher ranks by proper planning of their studies.

NTA has released the information bulletin which contains all the required information regarding the JEE exam. Students are advised to go through the information bulletin before applying for the exam. Students have to make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The first session of JEE Main 2021 was held in the month of February. The remaining sessions will be conducted in March, April, and May. This year, there is no change in the syllabus.

Students will get a choice to attempt any 75 questions out of the 90 questions given in the exam. From each subject, 30 questions will be there. Students can attempt 25 out of 30. Also, the question paper is set in 13 different languages.

Preparation Tips

JEE Main is an exam where time matters. Through proper practice, students can improve their speed of solving the problems and complete the exam in the given time. Students are advised to practice the previous year question papers and a maximum number of mock tests. This will boost their confidence and helps them to be stress-free at the time of the exam.

Exam Pattern

Students should have a clear understanding of the pattern of the JEE Main exam. Paper 1 contains 90 questions out of which 75 should be answered. Paper 2A is for architecture  courses. It contains 82 total questions out of which 77 questions should be answered. There will be questions from mathematics, aptitude, and drawing. The total mark is 400. Paper 2B has 105 questions out of which 100 questions should be answered. This paper is also out of 400 marks.

Students can answer any 5 out of the 10 questions in numerical value-based part in the maths section for Paper 2A and 2B.

NTA releases the admit card on their official website. Students can easily download the admit card by entering their application number, date of birth, and security pin. They are advised to keep it safe for future reference.
